I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. We certainly enjoyed our 3-day weekend.
Anthony planned a date night on Sunday and didn't tell me where we were going. Instead, he made reservations at a cute Italian restaurant in Brooklyn. Brooklyn is about an hour's drive from our house, which is convenient when we want to experience everything NYC offers. After dinner, we took a quick drive to the Brooklyn Bridge. We found parking near the bridge entrance and took a walk over the bridge and back. We had never done this before. The Brooklyn Bridge has a dedicated upper-level walkway for people to walk on. The views of the city were absolutely spectacular at sunset. The next time we visit Brooklyn, we will do this walk at night to see the city lights. After we walked over the bridge and back, we drove to our favorite Italian bakery. The bakery is open late on weekends, and we each had a pastry and an espresso for dessert. It was such a lovely night, and I can't wait to do it again.
