On the weekend, we went to Epcot and explored the festival of the holidays. Each country in Epcot is decorated and has a version of their traditional Santa telling the story of Santa; the countries each have booths set up with specialty food and drinks to celebrate the season. We did the Cookie Stroll, where you buy 5 cookies from different countries and get the 6th one and a pin at the end. The Linzer Tart was the best one from the stroll. Epcot is a lot of walking; there is just so much to see it’s almost impossible to see it all in one day. We had a nice dinner followed by the candlelight processional show. The narrator for the show was Neil Patrick Harris, who was terrific. We were lucky to see the show because it fills up quickly.
It was Anthony's birthday on Sunday, and we celebrated brunch at one of our favorite restaurants at the Grand Floridian Resort. Then we headed to Magic Kingdom for a bit, rode some rides, took photos, went shopping, and ate ice cream before heading to the airport. Disney at Christmas time is so Magical, and we dream of the day we can take our future child with us. Hopefully, next year.
We have a busy week ahead and can’t wait for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to celebrate with our family, especially our nieces and nephew. The kids get so excited about Christmas. It truly is a magical time.
