We took a little break from social media to start the year. At first, it was to relax from all the running around during the holidays. But it felt so good to take a few weeks off. We are just ordinary people who usually do not have exciting things going on every week. We both work during the week, and on the weekends, we run errands, plan out the dinner menu for the week, go grocery shopping, sometimes do food prep, and wind down by watching TV. We finally caught up on some of our favorite shows, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Firefly Lane, Emily in Paris, and Ginny and Georgia. As I mentioned in our last blog, we are concentrating more on our fitness, and so far, that is going well for us.
This past weekend, we celebrated our niece's 9th birthday. We went to my sister's for dinner, cake and gifts. Kayla loved her birthday gifts from us. She loves gymnastics, so we got her a new outfit, a bracelet set, and craft kits because she loves making crafts. We ended up staying later than planned, and our niece Sophia requested that we read her a book and put her to bed. She picked out three books, and in the middle of the second book, she fell asleep. On Sunday, Kayla had her kiddie party at a hair salon. The kids got their hair, nails, and makeup done. The girls had so much fun. It was an adorable birthday party.
